Diaper Program
The Diaper Depot helps families who live within ten miles of Mount Olive by delivering diapers to your home. To request diapers, please follow these instructions.
Instructions
Send a text to 612-405-0508 with your order. Your text should include:
- Your full name, address, and zip code
- The number of children you have wearing diapers and the sizes they need
- A photo of verification for each child in diapers (birth certificate or other verification, such as insurance card, doctor visit summary, or SNAP verification)
Information
- Diapers will be delivered to your home the same week each month, depending on your address.
- Orders for the week must be received by 6:00 pm on Monday. You may request earlier, but you may not receive an immediate response.
- Each family can receive the equivalent of one large pack of diapers/pull-ups and wipes for each child in diapers.

Emergency rental assistance
Mount Olive is a member of Align Minneapolis, a coalition of eighteen faith communities working to end homelessness.
For emergency rental assistance, review requirements here, and bring documents to any intake location. Mount Olive has someone available to guide you through the application process on Tuesdays between 9:00 and 11:00 am.

Align MPLS
Align Minneapolis is an interfaith collaboration of nineteen Minneapolis churches, synagogues, mosques, and people who have experienced homelessness working together to address homelessness and poverty.
Beacon Interfaith
Beacon interfaith is a collaborative of congregations united to create homes and advocate for equitable housing at the local and statewide level.
Central Lutheran Church Ministries: Community & Action
Central Lutheran Church Community & Action Ministries, an integral part of our sister congregation’s work, provides a welcoming place for people experiencing homelessness and economic insecurity. Emergency rental assistance, employment services, clothing, meals, free-use computers, and basic health care services are available.
Community Emergency Services (CES)
Community Emergency Service, or CES, works to alleviate hunger and food insecurity through an on-site food shelf, food delivery programs, a partnership with Meals on Wheels, and its unique Ani-Meals program, which provides food for pets and service animals.
Every Meal
Every Meal coordinates the delivery of food to families struggling with food insecurity through partnership schools throughout Minnesota. It provides food for weekends, winter breaks, and summer breaks, times when children do not have access to free and reduced-cost meals at school.
Lake Street Council
The Lake Street Council is a nonprofit organization that champions the diverse community of Lake Street residents and businesses. It supports entrepreneurs starting new businesses and offers grants to help existing businesses thrive. The council also beautifies the streetscape, engages local businesses in policy work that affects the corridor, and encourages new development that aligns with goals of the street and community.
Lutheran Social Service
Lutheran Social Services (LSS) operates more than 20 programs throughout the state of Minnesota. Services address housing, personal finances, counseling, senior care, refugee resettlement, disaster recovery, and the needs of those with disabilities.
LSS is the lead agency for the resettlement of the Afghan family Mount Olive has been sponsoring through our Global Ministry.
Minnesota Council of Churches
Minnesota Council of Churches (MCC) seeks to build communities where people have meaningful relationships guided by members’ faith. It supports refugee services programs, social justice efforts, and justice advocacy, and it fosters interfaith connections. In addition, through its Respectful Conversations program, MCC brings together people of varying backgrounds and trains leaders for these conversations.
Our Saviour’s Community Services
Our Saviour’s Community Services, a nonprofit founded by our sister congregation, operates a shelter that has provided housing for those experiencing homelessness who have recently been released from the hospital. In addition, it provides transitional housing for women who have experienced domestic abuse and offers permanent supportive housing for men and women who live with a mental illness, physical disability, and/or substance use disorders.
Mount Olive volunteers provide meals once a month at the Our Saviour’s shelter.
Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association
The Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association enhances our neighborhood through special events, community-based publications, and advocacy on issues such as housing, economic equity, safety, and security.
Restorative Justice Community Action
Restorative Justice Community Action (RJCA) provides a community-based alternative to criminal prosecution, fostering individual growth while strengthening relationships and communities through restorative justice practices. By building on its indigenous roots and embracing a race-equity lens, RJCA leverages the voice of community particularly to transform the criminal legal system, ensure public safety, eliminate racial disparities, humanize conflict, and support communities to find shared solutions.
Sabathani Community Center
Sabathani Community Center is one of Minnesota’s oldest African American–founded nonprofits. It helps equip approximately 32,000 South Minneapolis residents annually through its food shelf, clothes closet, seniors programs, workforce initiatives, support for school-age children, and more.
Simpson Housing Services
Simpson Housing is a multifaceted organization, providing emergency shelter, single adult–supportive housing, and family-supportive housing across the Twin Cities. It offers developmental and educational services for children in its family shelter program and partners with metro-area landlords and developers to find sustainable housing. In addition, Simpson operates the Adult Shelter Connect program for Hennepin County, providing a single point of contact for those seeking shelter throughout the county.
Tubman
The Tubman website articulates its mission and purpose: “Tubman helps people of all ages, gender identities, and cultural backgrounds who have experienced relationship violence, trafficking, homelessness, mental and chemical health challenges, and other trauma.” Throughout the Twin Cities, Tubman provides safe shelter, legal services, counseling, youth programming, and community education. In 2024, they helped about 18,000 people in Hennepin, Ramsey, and Washington counties and the surrounding area to get the support and information they need to experience safety, hope, and healing.
Walk-In Counseling Center
Walk-In Counseling Center provides free, easily accessible mental health counseling to people with urgent needs and few service options. Counselors work with people struggling with depression, anxiety, chemical dependency, domestic violence, and many other emotional and interpersonal concerns.
