We are Easter people who live in the promise of life with God both now and after we die. It is our joy and duty to carry before God our loved ones who have died and then to bear them to their rest.

At funerals, we are all sprinkled with water as a sign of our baptism and the baptism of our beloved dead, we rejoice in God’s promise of eternal life, and we celebrate the eucharist.
